Total Assurance, Inc. (TAI) Program was created January 2004. The purpose of TAI existence is to provide people with development disabilities alternative options about support and services that they receive.
We believe when people are empowered with their life areas, you can receive better results such as independence at home, work and in their communities.
Total Assurance, Inc. primary goal is to match qualified Direct Support Professionals with people in need of New Opportunity Waiver (NOW) services. We understand that family members need time away to take care of personal needs and to renew themselves. All employees are thoroughly screened for criminal background check, driving and employment history. We are bonded and insured for our consumer’s protection.
Many of our services consist of: conversation, companionship, meal preparation, grooming, assistance with developing grocery lists, shopping, light housekeeping, assistance/reminders with medication.
The purpose of the personal care service program is to provide limited assistance to the focus person by assisting them with their activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living.
SIL provides assistance and/or training to individuals eighteen (18) years or older to reside in his/her apartment or own home of their choice as independently as possible, and to prevent institutionalization's. This service assures that individuals are living in a safe environment and receiving quality support on a regular basis. Services may include:
The Children Choice Program provides the following assistance:
families in life planning for the child including gaining access to needed waiver and state plan services, as well as needed medical, social, educational, and other services, regardless of the service to which access is gained.

This service is defined as a day and/or night direct support and assistance for recipients three (3) years of age and older, or for the relief of the care giver, in and out of the recipient's home, to achieve and/or maintain the outcomes of increased independence, productivity, enhanced family functioning, and inclusion in the community, as outlined in his/her person-centered plan. Services may include but are not limited to:
Services are provided on a short term basis in the absence of the care giver's who are in need of relief from providing normal care of services in the home or in the community. This service is intended to assist the participant’s family member who may desire time to manage or take care of personal needs or just to renew themselves by participating in activities that he/she enjoy doing. Respite may be provided in or out of the recipient's home. Respite services are available up to twenty four hours a day. Some of the services that respite care offer includes:
